It is designed to compensate employees who suffer a significant, permanent physical or psychiatric disability as a result of an accident at work.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-1909b4df5c138672669cb5a9f1fa1099\"><strong>Under the Terms &amp; Conditions of the Scheme, a claiming employee must have a minimum of 1 years&#8217; service with Royal Mail Group Limited at the time of the accident\/incident and still be employed and not be under notice to terminate employment for any reason at the time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-695e8244cea44a7a0ce15f7d65e2c454\"><strong>Where the employee leaves the Business after a Provisional Assessment payment has been made, no further claim can be made and no Life Assessment payment will fall due.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-black-color has-text-color has-large-font-size\" style=\"text-decoration:underline\"><strong><em>Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-4fb101dbd658fef4315bef8a33040bb3\"><strong>If you are injured as a result of an Accident\/Incident at work and have been left with a <em>permanent disability<\/em>, you can make a claim for Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (IIDB) from the Department of Works &amp; Pensions. The level of your disability will affect the amount of benefit you may get but this will be assessed by a Medical Advisor on a scale of 1 to 100%.
